Peer Rovin' Lassie

Ref. 1078

'Peer Rovin' Lassie' is a well-known Scottish bothy ballad composed around 1930 by George Morris of Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire. George (Geordie) Morris, alongside his brother-in-law Willie Kemp, was a prominent figure in composing and popularising later bothy ballads (also known as 'cornkisters') in the 1920s and 1930s. They released their songs on 78 RPM records and printed song booklets, which made the music widely popular across rural Scotland. Arranged for accordion.
