The Scots Gaelic lament 'Ailein Duinn' (Dark-haired Alan) was composed by Annag Chaimbeul (Annie Campbell), a woman from the island of Scalpay in the Outer Hebrides. She composed the song as an anguished cry of love and grief to her drowned beloved. Arranged for accordion.
