Lady Maxwell's Reel

The composer of 'Lady Maxwell's Reel' (historically titled 'Lady Maxwell of Monreath's Reel') was the Ayrshire fiddler and composer John Riddell (1718-1795). Notable in this use of cut-time, the reel first appeared in print on page 32 of Riddell's 1782 work, 'A Collection of Scots Reels Minuets &c. for the Violin'. Arranged for accordion.
